Some great activists and friends in the SF area have been strong supporters of the PayPal14, and want to collect donations specifically to help the defendants cover costs related to their upcoming hearing on May 13th. They have organized a donation campaign for this, which Freeanons.org is happy to promote. Below is their press release. You can donate directly to them, here.
PayPal 14 will be back in court, in SF on May 13th, 2013 at 9:30 am.
We desperately need to reach our goal by end of the day Friday 5/10/13 in order to have funds deposited and available for assisting accommodations.
There are many necessary things required for everyone involved that need funding in order to organize court support, which in this case requires them to travel & have accommodations for a few nights while in town.
Keep in mind, due to the nature of this case, individual hotel rooms are necessary for the co-defendants involved in traveling, as well as flight accommodations. This is creating quite the financial headache for them. There are a group of us in the SF/BayArea that hope to get things organized & in place so that they may have as less stress as possible while in town for their court proceedings.
Funds will be necessary for the following:
- hotel accommodations for traveling co-defendants & their supporters.
- gas for transportation between Airport/court
- food for the days they are in town
Unfortunately for all those involved organizing this event, resources are very limited. The hotel rooms alone run a hundred dollars a night; & gas/parking for carpooling people to and from the airport/court will add up very quickly. Our goal here is to make sure that in these few days the PayPal 14 are in San Francisco, to be as comfortable, with as little stress as possible. This is why I implore everyone to please donate, all proceeds will go directly into funding the needs of the traveling Paypal 14.
Note: We’ve set a goal of $900 to cover 4 rooms @ $100/night x 2nights, plus the cost of parking/gas for carpooling to airport/court. This goal may increase if plans require additional nights of lodging, or other expenses arise.
